ZSIC General Insurance successfully took part in the 2024 Financial Literacy week with three tertiary outreach interactions in Livingstone, Mpongwe and Lusaka.
During this year’s Financial Literacy Week, we premised our interactions on the importance of Agriculture Insurance in the wake of climate change.
Through the sessions, our teams outlined the various agriculture insurance products available that can cover crops, livestock and equipment. Some of the Participants were particularly intrigued by the utilisation of satellite technology to assess losses incurred in vast lands.
In Mpongwe, the Ndola office led my Branch Operations Manager Leonard Militu held an interactive session at the Mpongwe School of Agriculture in Ndola rural.
In Lusaka, Deputy Director Marketing Kuda Ngoma led the team at the Cooperative College in Lusaka which had the biggest audience of not less than 50 participants.
The Livingstone session held at the NIPA Livingstone campus was led by Communications and Customer Experience Officer Pennipher Sikainda-Nyirenda in the company of Agriculture insurance specialist Henry Madabwali from the Choma branch and Paul Chibuchabu from the Livingstone office.
Apart from the physical interactive sessions, we also used our social media platforms to share agriculture insurance sensitisation messaging.
